Kate Marshall, Children's Director

Kate Marshall grew up in many places and in many Christian denominations - all of which she credits to helping her become the person she is today.  She graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1998, spent a year at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, and finished her post-secondary education at St. Norbert College in DePere with a major in Business Administration and Economics. She and her high school sweetheart Micah were married in 1999 and currently have two children: Greta is 5 and Liam is 3.  She has been a stay-at-home mom since Greta was born and in addition to her serving at church, runs an in-home daycare.  Her biggest passions are spending time with the Lord, music, and working with children.  She is very excited about the opportunity she has to combine these through her positions at Journey!

Is there anything else you'd like to share with whoever's reading this?
My three favorite Bible passages -- they'll help you through ANYTHING!
1. Jeremiah 29:(11) For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (12) Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. (13) You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.

2. James 1:(2) Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, (3) because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. (4) Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

3. Psalm 37:(3) Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.  (4) Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart.  (5) Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him and He will do this: (6) He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.  (7a) Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him
